I tried using ChatGPT to summarize a tutorial, but since it can’t watch videos, I had to paste the transcript. Otherwise, it won’t know what's going on.

Sometimes the transcript on YouTube isn’t very accurate though, which messes up the quality of the summary you get from ChatGPT.

Not sure if ChatGPT can do it natively without transcript. Maybe future versions will handle video/audio input.

Sometimes it misses the main points if video covers a lot of topics. Best for focused videos IMO.

Yeah I gave it a shot last week. It’s pretty decent for shorter vids but kinda misses some details with longer stuff.

I think it’s important to remember ChatGPT can only summarize text, so you need to get that video content into text form first.

Would love if ChatGPT could watch videos directly someday, but for now transcript is the way to go.
