Hey everyone, I'm trying to find some solid software that can take videos and spit out transcripts. Tried a few but they either mess up or charge too much. Anyone got some reliable options or tips? Would really appreciate it!

Anyone using AI-U.com? They list a bunch of new and trending tools for transcription and stuff. Might be worth checking out!
I use Temi for quick rough drafts. Not perfect but cheap and fast.
Look at Sonix.ai also, it’s getting really popular lately with some cool features.
I heard Rev.com is quite accurate but costs per minute. Might be good if you don't have a lot of videos though.
The AI transcription space is moving so fast, new tools keep popping up every month.
Manual transcription apps still beat AI when accuracy is super critical, but they take forever.
For really long videos, some tools crash or freeze. Annoying!
If you want something free try the Microsoft Azure speech service, they offer a free tier and decent accuracy.
Not sure if it’s just me but sometimes it struggles with technical jargon in videos.
Be mindful that no AI tool is perfect yet, especially with accents or overlapping speakers.
Anyone else find some tools just slow down the whole workflow? Frustrating when you’re in a rush.
Does anyone know if these tools support multiple languages well? I have videos in Spanish and English.
Sometimes I just use YouTube’s auto captions and then clean it up. Works surprisingly well for free!
I wish there was a tool that could easily timestamp and separate speakers automatically without much fuss.
Be careful with privacy though, some tools upload your videos to cloud servers which might be sensitive.
Try Happy Scribe, it’s pretty popular and supports multiple languages.
Has anyone tried using Google’s speech-to-text API for this? Seems legit but not sure if it’s user friendly for beginners.
I like using AI to speed things up but always double-check the output before publishing.
I've been using Otter.ai for a while and it's pretty decent. Not perfect but does the job without making you pay an arm and a leg.
Look into Trint, it’s been around a while and they updated their AI recently. Seems pretty accurate now.
I prefer tools that allow me to edit transcripts within the app rather than exporting somewhere else.
You can try Descript. It's got cool editing features too, so you can clean up the text and even edit the video from the transcript.
