ChatGPT itself doesn't process audio files directly. It's a text-based model, so it can't listen to audio and transcribe it. However, OpenAI offers Whisper, which is specifically designed for audio transcription and speech recognition.
I've tried using ChatGPT by typing out what I heard from a video, but that's obviously manual. For automated transcription, I recommend using services like Otter.ai or Google's Speech-to-Text API.
Would love to see ChatGPT integrated with Whisper in one seamless tool — that would be a game changer!
Just to add, some third-party apps integrate Whisper's capabilities and provide transcription features that work quite well. You can then feed that text to ChatGPT for further processing.
