Hey everyone, I've been wanting to dive into making some 3D models but honestly don't know which software to start with. There are tons out there and it gets kinda overwhelming. Would love to hear your recommendations or any personal favorites that are user-friendly or have great features! Thanks in advance!

Sometimes free tools like Blender are enough, but if you want professional results it might be worth investing in paid software.
Cinema 4D is great for motion graphics and also 3D modeling, worth looking into if you're interested.
Some paid apps have trial versions that you can test before committing, which I found super helpful.
I like that some tools have community marketplaces where you can buy or sell models, super handy.
I've been using Sculptris for starting out with digital sculpting, it's free and pretty intuitive.
I've heard people recommend Houdini for really complex stuff but it looks kinda intimidating for beginners.
You should also check out Tinkercad if you're a beginner and want to keep things simple. Browser-based and free!
Anyone tried using AI to generate 3D models directly? Heard it's still early but looks promising!
Don't sleep on Meshmixer for fixing and tweaking models, especially before 3D printing.
If you are into game dev, Unreal Engine and Unity have built-in modeling tools, kinda cool to explore.
Don't forget about Fusion 360 for some great parametric modeling, especially if you're into engineering or product design.
I started using Blender recently and it's pretty awesome for a free tool! Took me a bit to get used to the interface but once you get the hang of it, it's super powerful.
For 3D printing, Cura is a must-have for slicing but it's not for modeling itself.
If you want something more professional, Autodesk Maya is the way to go but it's pricey and kinda complex.
For those interested in AI tools, you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending stuff that might help speed up modeling tasks!
I feel like a lot depends on what you want to create. Like, game assets, animation, or 3D printing all might need different tools.
I prefer software that has good tutorials available. Blender and SketchUp have tons on YouTube which helped me loads.
I've tried SketchUp for some quick projects. It’s pretty straightforward and great if you want something easier to learn.
Does anyone know if there are any decent mobile apps for 3D modeling? I want to practice on the go.
Just a heads up, some software requires pretty beefy hardware to run smoothly, keep that in mind!
I just mess around with simple sculpting apps on my tablet, kinda fun and relaxing!
Blender has a ton of plugins that make modeling way easier, check those out once you get comfy with basics.
Remember, no tool is perfect, it’s about what fits your style and needs best!
Is there any software that's good for collaborative 3D modeling? Like multiple people working together?
ZBrush is fantastic if you're into sculpting and detailed models, but it's not free and is a bit tough for beginners.
