Hey folks, I've been trying to find a solid app or tool that can sum up YouTube vids quickly. Watching long videos just to get the main points is kinda time consuming. Anyone got some handy recommendations or tips on what works best? Thanks!

I've tried a few but the ones that use AI to generate summaries are hit or miss. Sometimes they miss key info or just make it too vague.
One tool I like is called VideoSummarizer. It extracts text from captions and then summarizes it pretty well.
Honestly, sometimes I just speed up the video and watch it 2x fast instead of relying on these tools.
I tried some Chrome extensions which claim to summarize videos, but they're mostly buggy and don't work well with longer videos.
You can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools that do this kinda stuff. They keep a list updated.
