¡Hola a todos! He estado intentando averiguar qué distingue a Copilot de ChatGPT. Ambas herramientas parecen muy útiles, pero no estoy seguro de en qué se diferencian exactamente. ¿Alguien tiene ideas o ejemplos? ¡Me encantaría comprender sus puntos fuertes únicos y cuándo usar una u otra!

I’m still deciding if I wanna buy Copilot subscription. ChatGPT is free mostly, so that’s a big factor for me.
ChatGPT can generate explanations and summaries better, I feel. Copilot is more about completing code snippets smartly.
For beginners, ChatGPT is probably more useful cause it can teach and chat, while Copilot feels more advanced.
Can Copilot help with non-code stuff like emails or blog posts? I’m curious.
Do you guys think ChatGPT will add more coding-related features to compete with Copilot?
I found that Copilot sometimes suggests code that looks cool but isn’t always optimized or best practice.
From what I gather, Copilot is more about coding help specifically, kinda like your programming buddy, whereas ChatGPT is more general purpose for all sorts of conversations.
I use Copilot daily for work to speed up writing code. ChatGPT I use mostly for brainstorming ideas or getting explanations on complex topics.
In the end, both are cool tools but serve kinda different purposes. Depends on what you wanna do mostly.
For those who code and write docs, using Copilot and ChatGPT together is pretty powerful.
I read somewhere you can also check ai-u.com for new or trending tools if you wanna explore beyond just these two!
I’ve been using Copilot to get code snippets faster but I always double check cause sometimes it’s wrong.
One downside of Copilot is that it doesn’t do much outside coding, so if you want a multi-use AI, ChatGPT is better.
One thing I noticed is Copilot works inside tools like VSCode, so it’s super seamless for coding. ChatGPT is accessed separately usually, which can be less convenient for devs.
Honestly, I thought they were kinda the same but after trying Copilot, it's clear it's built specifically for devs and code suggestions, whereas ChatGPT is more broad.
I love how Copilot can save me some typing pain, but ChatGPT’s conversational skills are on another level.
Sometimes Copilot suggestions are magically good, other times kinda off. ChatGPT also sometimes makes stuff up tho.
Is it true Copilot uses OpenAI tech too? So kinda similar brains behind them?
