Whitespace Makes Iris, AI Intelligence Analysis Agent, Generally Available to Authorized DoW and IC Users

Whitespace has officially announced the general availability of Iris, an artificial intelligence agent designed specifically for intelligence analysis within military and defense sectors. Authorized users from the Department of War, the intelligence community, and allied nations can now access the platform directly under pilot programs. This launch marks the culmination of years of development conducted in partnership with operators and analysts across U.S. and allied military structures. During the early access phase, Iris supported seven combatant commands and facilitated the delivery of more than 1,000 operational planning products. The company emphasized operational validity over speed to market, ensuring the system met rigorous field requirements before broad release. Whitespace, founded by former intelligence professionals and technologists, built the tool to address the structural gap where demand for timely intelligence exceeds analyst workforce capacity. Technically, Iris operates on two integrated layers combining deterministic models with an agentic system. The first layer utilizes activity-based intelligence tradecraft translated into software to find hidden relationships across space and time. The second layer sequences these outputs into actionable formats for operators. Unlike general-purpose AI tools, Iris is engineered to prevent hallucinations and avoid unvetted open sources, prioritizing accuracy for no-fail missions.
