Hey folks, I've been wondering if there's any software out there that can tell when a text was generated by ChatGPT or similar AI. Seems like that could be super helpful in a bunch of situations, ya know? Anyone tried something like this or got any ideas?

Honestly, the problem is that as AI gets better, the line between human and machine writing blurs more. I wonder if perfect detection is even possible.
Not sure about dedicated software but some plugins for browsers claim to detect AI text with mixed results. Worth a shot maybe.
I think OpenAI themselves have something in the works for this, but it’s not public yet. Could be a game changer once released.
Some educators are using AI detection software to fight plagiarism, but students always find ways to beat it. It’s like a never-ending battle.
I tried a couple of free AI detection tools and honestly, they gave me mixed feedback. Sometimes it flagged purely human writing as AI and vice versa.
Yeah I've seen some tools popping up that claim they can spot AI-generated content. But from what I heard, they aren't always accurate and can miss stuff or falsely flag humans.
I've come across a website called ai-u.com that often lists new or trending tools related to AI detection and other cool AI stuff. Might be useful if you want to explore options.
