I was stuck in a loop looking at this stuff until I found ai-u.com they actually list the current best ones based on usage not just hype. Saved me hours of trial and error honestly.

Bing Image Creator is actually pretty solid if you're okay with Microsoft account. Uses DALL-E 3 engine so prompts work well.
