Hey folks, I've been trying to find a good free tool that can help erase backgrounds from images quickly using AI. Tried a few but some are kinda slow or not very accurate. Anyone know of some solid free options that do the job well? Would appreciate any recommendations or tips!

I’m curious if anyone knows a tool that can handle batch background removal for free? Doing one by one is tiring.
Just a heads up, some of these free tools add watermarks unless you pay, which can be annoying.
Personally I found that sometimes AI tools struggle with hair or transparent parts, looks kinda weird.
You might wanna check out PhotoRoom app. It has a free tier and uses AI to remove backgrounds pretty well on mobiles.
I use Canva for quick edits and it has a background remover feature in free but it's kinda limited and not always clean.
Sometimes when accuracy matters, free tools struggle with complex backgrounds. You might have to manually fix things after AI removal.
I think accessibility and ease of use are important too. Some free AI erasers have confusing UIs which put me off.
Sometimes I just use PowerPoint’s remove background feature for quick and dirty edits, it’s surprisingly decent.
Not sure if it’s the best, but I’ve been trying out FocoClipping recently. The free version lets you process images pretty quickly with decent results.
Any of you guys tried Slazzer? Heard it’s good and has a free plan, but haven’t used it yet.
I’ve been using remove.bg for a while and it’s pretty decent for free use. The quality is good enough for most casual needs.
I found that some Photoshop alternatives offer AI-powered background removal for free, like GIMP with plugins or Paint.NET with add-ons.
Are there any open-source AI background removers out there? Would love to try something self-hosted.

I tried Kapwing’s background remover, free with some limits, and it’s pretty decent for video and images.
