Hey everyone, I've been wondering about something. Like, ChatGPT is this AI language thing, but people sometimes call it a robot? Is it actually a robot or just software? Kinda confused here, would love some clarity!

Does anyone know if ChatGPT is linked to any kind of physical robot in labs or something? Just curious.
I read somewhere that robot means any machine capable of carrying out a complex series of actions automatically, so maybe ChatGPT kinda fits that?
I guess if you think of robots as anything automated that can do tasks, ChatGPT kinda fits, but still not a physical robot.
Honestly, I just call it a chatbot, no robot vibes here.
Some might say it’s a type of 'soft robot' but that’s stretching it imo.
People might confuse AI and robots because of movies showing AI in robot bodies.
Some folks call it a robot just cuz it’s AI and automated, but it’s a bit misleading if you imagine a real robot.
Does anyone else think maybe robots and AI will merge more in the future? Like physical robots powered by something like ChatGPT?
I’d say ChatGPT is more like a virtual assistant or AI chatbot rather than a robot.
I sometimes hear people say chatbots are robots but I think they just mean automated programs, not real robots.
ChatGPT is AI software, not a robot. Robots usually interact physically with the world.
ChatGPT is basically a program that processes language. No arms, no legs, so no robot here.

I think ChatGPT is just an AI language model, super advanced, but no robot parts at all.
To me, robots gotta have hardware and be able to do physical stuff. ChatGPT’s just smart words on a screen.
I always thought a robot has a physical form, so ChatGPT is more like just software or an AI program, not a robot in the traditional sense.
Technically it’s not a robot since it doesn’t have a body or limbs, but it kinda acts like a robot brain, right? Makes it tricky to categorize.
